Aquaponics was a dream solution for me.
Living in an area that would kill most anything planted in the ground due to salinity or acidity problems. Therefore aquaponics seemed to be the answer to these obstacles. At first everything went well. Vegetables galore & could finally feed myself without any problems. The key word to aquaponics however is BALANCE. Things are great while that word happens. When it doesn't then watch out and prepare for tears.
At the point of losing a whole tank of fish to a dead aerator & losing a growbed to a blocked auto siphon I decided that like everything else in this damn world. Fish & veges too had to be automated. Watch this page in future. Its gong to get bigger & bigger.
